Training and Experience: She obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from
Kent State University. She has had the privilege of serving people with a
wide variety of mental health problems for over 30 years, with the last
18+ years as a licensed psychologist. She enjoys doing psychotherapy with
individuals, couples and groups. She also has extensive experience with
cognitive and personality assessment.
Treatment Approach: Whether conducting an assessment or doing
psychotherapy, her first and foremost goal is to try to understand the
individual before her. "As we come to understand the social, emotional and
biological factors that contribute to a problem, we can begin to set
goals and decide together how to proceed". She believes in drawing from a
wide variety of treatment orientations, depending on individual needs
Areas of Interest: While she enjoys working with a wide variety of
patients, she has a special interest in anxiety disorders, trauma and
dissociation, spirituality and cognitive assessment.
